Introduction

LONDON MUSCLE SERIES seminars are intended to bring together the scientists involved in Muscle Research in the London area, by benefiting from seminars given by international scientists of high repute. LMS began in 1984 at the instigation of David Trentham. The seminars have been held primarily at the National Institute for Medical Research in Mill Hill, but also at King's College, Imperial College and University College.

The seminars are usually held on Monday afternoons, preceded by tea. However day and time have been known to vary. Seminars last 50 minutes, followed by questions. The size of the audience varies from about ten to more than fifty.

In 2002, organisation of LMS has moved from NIMR to Imperial College, and is being carried out by Nancy Curtin, John Squire and Mike Ferenczi, from whom more details can be obtained.
