The EBSA Prize

EBSA Young Investigators’ Medal and Prize

Invitation to nominate candidates

The EBSA Executive Committee invites all Member Societies to nominate candidates for the EBSA Prize to be awarded at the 8th Biophysics Congress, in Budapest in 2011. The winner of the Prize receives 2000 EUR and a medal, and will present a lecture at the Congress.

The prize will be given to a promising young scientist. The age of the recipient should not exceed 40 at the time the prize is given. Candidates should be working in one of the Member countries. Nominations (at most 2 pages long) by the National Societies (maximum 2 nominations from any society) should be sent – preferentially in electronic format – to the EBSA Secretary (j.a.killian@uu.nl) before 15 April 2011. A publication list, short CV (not exceeding 2 pages) of the candidate and reprints of maximum 3 papers can be attached to the nomination. The decision will be made by the Executive Committee based on scientific excellence, with the possibility to call in external reviewers.
